How we check the figures
How the grant amounts and costs on this site are kept right, and who to tell if something is wrong.
Free, no obligation. One local SEAI-registered installer prices it, not five.
- €1,400SEAI grant for 2kWp of panels
- €2,400most you can get, with a battery
- 0% VATon solar panels for homes
The grant amounts and rules on solarpanelgrant.ie are SEAI's own. Costs are real Irish prices: SEAI's own figures from grant-funded jobs, and what Irish companies charge. If something changes, the page changes.
solarpanelgrant.ie is not SEAI or a government body and does not award grants.
How we keep the figures right
- Grant amounts come from SEAI. We take them from SEAI's own grant pages, never from a copy. Older SEAI leaflets still show the pre-2026 amounts, so we don't use them.
- Costs are real costs. Price ranges come from real Irish jobs and prices, not guesses. They are a guide, not a quote: the company that rings you prices your house.
- Changes go up the same day. When SEAI changes a grant, we change every page that shows it.
- If we can't stand over it, it comes off. A figure we can't confirm doesn't go on the site.
What we don't do
- We don't publish reviews, ratings or customer counts.
- We don't use SEAI, government or EU logos, and nothing on this site claims to come from SEAI or the government.
- We don't pass your details to a list. One company gets your request.
